The new European safety standard. Regulation 90, is indicated
by the "E" mark. To gain "E" mark approval,
brake pads supplied to the aftermarket must
conform to within a specified range of the original equipment
performance. Test
procedures include comparing OE
and aftermarket pads back to back, together with qualityinspections
within the
manufacturing plant.
